Albina Green Celebration

Siblings Anne and Tom Greenwood are working as artists-in-residence with Portland Garment Factory to design and sew a limited edition of upcycled wool picnic blankets for the community event called the Albina Green Celebration. All 40 to 50 blankets will be installed on the grass of the small neighborhood greenspace on October 6th at 4pm before the event begins.

Tom and Anne have received a donation of colorful wool scraps from Pendleton Woolen Mills for the blanket materials. They will then work together with the Portland Garment Factory production manager to design and construct the blankets, create a label for each blanket, and sell the blankets at the event. This will be a one-time temporary installation event.
