Sepali Textile Installation, Gala, and Sale

Join us for the first ever cocoon-silk gala and share in the artists creative energy!
This exhibit will open October 5th with a reception from 4 to 6 pm.
Three months ago six members of the Sylvan Dyers Circle received 4 sheets of 4 different types of cocoon silk (above). Each dyer has created a unique, original art piece using the textiles and natural dyes. The art pieces will be displayed at Cargo for the month of October and bids will be collected through a silent auction. On Thursday, 24 of October 2019, 5PM-7PM, and a reception will be held in honor of the artists and the winners of the auction announced!. The original art pieces will be sold to benefit SEPALI Madagascar and the artists who made them. Join us for the first ever cocoon-silk gala and share in the artists creative energy!
The opening party will feature food, drink, and a brief presentation on the Sepali Madagascar program by Catherine Craig at 4pm.
